Birthday Coupons

At Christmas I like to give my kids "mom" coupons. It's really hard buying teenagers clothes and shoes, they will never wear what you pick out for them right? So I started giving mom coupons like "a day of shopping with mom" or "good for 1 pair of shoes".

Yesterday I was tasked by my daughter to come up with a "girlfriend" coupon for her to give to her boyfriend on his birthday.

This is what I came up with:

I used 6 matching note cards with envelopes that I bought a while back at the goodwill and wanted to get used up.

I glued the envelope flap of one envelope to the back of another and then did an accordion fold.

Next I used my SU 2 1/2" circle punch and cut the patterned cardstock (again something I had sitting around begging to get used).

For the coupon part I used some clear laser labels I had and the mail wizard on my computer. I printed those out and labeled some white cardstock, cut it down to size, then used my SU envelope punch board to round the corners.

It still needed something else so I hauled out last months Paper Pumpkin kit and added the stars.

Because I didn't want to seal the last envelope I made a bellyband from some leftover cardstock and cut it down to 9" x 2" and put each end in my SU scalloped edge tag punch (I love that thing). Fold it around, tie closed with a ribbon, and Wala! It ended up being one of those stinking cute projects I love.

Have you ever created a coupon book?
