Vintage Paper Collection

The August paper pack release is right in line with my vintage mode of mind. I love these grungy, antique vibe designs. Let's take a look:
 Digital Paper Pack
There is nothing more economical than buying your paper packs in digital format. You just can't beat the cost savings. Even if you haven't invested in a color printer at home. you can still use digital papers. Did you know that you can upload the file for the design you want to print to places like Office Depot and Staples? They will print as many sheets you want on 8 1/2 x 11 pretty reasonably. Print what you need and only when you need it instead of taking up valuable storage space. That's how I use to print my papers before I purchased my Epson (which was very inexpensive and I LOVE IT).

The Vintage Paper Collection is now available in the Charm Shop, download yours today!

I finally have the July release available as well. Let's take a look at our Patriotic Theme:
Digital paper packs are not only economical but they are also good for the environment. You print only what you need on demand. You don't have to store a paper stack that may or may not sit in your craft room, unused, for many years, like it does in mine! Buy digital, save a few trees.

Have a fabulous weekend!

June Calendar with Free Printable + Diagonal Stripe Paper Collection

Hi y'all! It's been a minute since I have had anything fun to put out. Today I have available for you the June Printable Calendar. Since summer is around the corner I decided to go with a nautical theme for mine. Nothing says summer more than getting to spend time at the beach! Let's take a look:
I love this font, Halo Handletter (I think I have become a font junkie), and look at that shine from the foiling. If you are playing along go ahead and grab your free printable from the Charm Shop.
My background paper is from the early released June paper collection, Diagonal Stripes. These papers will be terrific for Father's Day cards.
Stripes are so universal, they are awesome as full backgrounds or in layering. I love to add a little strip to the edge of a card and as accent pieces. In this pack you get eight fun coordinating summer colors: Bermuda, Pineapple, Black, Coral, Lemon Lime, Navy, Poppy, and Pacific. I keep a stash of the black on hand at all times.

Diagonal Stripe Background + Free Digital Paper Download

Last card for the day, it was a marathon weekend for sure. I decided to participate in this week's Tic Tac Toe challenge #045. Let's take a look:
I think the line I choose is pretty obvious haha, Yellow-Stripe-Thanks. They said yellow stripes but my stripe background stamp refused to give me a good clean print, even with my Misti. Being the crafty person I am I knew the perfect way to solve my problem. I made my own paper, which you can pick up free from the Charm Shop. I must have subconsciously been thinking about the other challenge I was working on over at Just Add Ink#406 because my layout worked into it perfectly.
Here's your crafty tip: For my sentiment I re-hashed some components from the December 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit. The color didn't work with my design so I hauled out a black copic and re-colored it. Easy peasy! I always hang onto my extra parts and pieces from those old kits, you just never know when they will come in handy.

Enjoy! For more inspiration follow me on instagram @craftedcharm where I share additional projects and designs.

Flower Seed Packet Tutorial + Free Printable

I was inspired by the flower seed envelopes in the March 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit but I thought the kit contents were more geared towards Mother's Day, and I still needed to finish some Easter projects. I decided to deconstruct the seed packet and come up with a template to make my own. Let's see how it turned out:
Flower Seed Packet Envelope
Flower Seed Packet Tutorial
Let's make it:
  1. Cut a sheet of designer paper to 8 1/16 x 8 1/2 inches
  2. On the 8 1/16 side you will score at 9/16 and again at 6 1/16
  3. On the 8 1/2 side you will score at 1/2 inch and again at 4 1/2
  4. Fold on all score lines
  5. Use the diagram below to make the appropriate cut outs

Not only does this fit seed packets, but my original intention for my Easter project was to use it for a gift card holder. Here's the bonus, it fits the gift card with the backer perfectly!

I have been dying to use this striped paper from the Spring Paper Collection that I designed, and this was the perfect project I needed. I also created coordinating gift tags that fit the largest oval from the Stampin' Up Stitched Shapes Framelits. Be sure to pick up both from the Charm Shop for your own projects. Super springy and super cute right?

Such a cute project and paper pumpkin alternative. I foresee a few spring gift baskets in my future, for Mother's Day, with some custom made seed packets in them. But seriously, aren't these the cutest Easter Gift Tags ever?

Now let's get crafting!

April Calendar with Free Printable + Spring Paper Collection

Today I am sharing my April Calendar design. If you are playing along with the monthly calendar series you can pick up your Free April Printable in the Charm Shop. I designed an Easter/Spring themed digital paper pack to use on my calendar. This paper I have featured here is one of my all time favorites. It is so cute, so simple, but there is just something about this shade of blue that plays right into spring. I can't wait for the winter blahs to be over.
This months font is Grace, I'm loving the cleaner lines without the grid. This calendar will be in my 2019 mini calendar product line up in the Charm Shop. I printed the calendar out on my laser printer and then foiled it with my minc in a mint green foil.
Of course we can't forget the matching pen. You can find the one's I use on Amazon.
The Spring Paper Collection release is super cute. I never knew what I was missing out on until I started designing, and printing, my own paper. I swear, if you have a small craft room this is the way to go. Printable papers are so inexpensive from the get go, and then add on top of that the fact that you can print an unlimited number. How many paper pads did you buy, and ultimately have sitting in storage, because you liked one or two of the designs. You get maybe 2 to 4 of each of those in the entire pad and the rest just sits. What happens if you need to do a large order or project that requires you to mass produce? You just can't beat the savings of printing your own.
I just love these. I look forward to sharing many more with you. I am quickly becoming addicted to pattern making. I can't wait to find a project to use that stripe pattern on.

Have a beautiful day,

March Calendar + Free Printable

And so, March is coming upon us very quickly. I finally have my Mother's March calendar finished and ready to mail. Sorry Ma, it will be late yet again! Since St. Patty's is in March, of course I wanted to do something green. Diving into my stash I couldn't find the perfect paper to use so I made my own. I love it! My calendar turned out pretty clean and not overly embellished but I wanted to see more of that gorgeous paper. Super adorable font this month as well, get your March Mini Calendar Free Printable if you are playing along.
Printable Calendars
You can pick up the digital paper pack I designed over in the Charm Shop. I am quickly getting addicted to using digital papers. You never run out (who doesn't love that), and you only print it as you need it (who doesn't love that even more). I have shelves and shelves full of specialty and designer paper that I use one sheet out of and then can't bring myself to cut into the rest. Because, ohhhh what if I run out. The horror!

In this pack we have Chevron, Shamrock's, Stripes, Buffalo Plaid, Gingham, Polka Dot, Plaid, and Diagonal Stripes. Obviously there is one sheet with Shamrock's but the rest will be used year round. In a future post I will be doing a review on a color printer I recently purchased (totally awesome) and sharing how I print my digital paper packs so stay tuned for that.
I used some Lucy's Little Jewels Rainbow Mix for my little sparkly colorful diamonds. Did I say how much I loved this one? I just needed a little gold, and a little rainbow going on. I foiled the calendar with gold, of course, using my Minc and some Deco Foil.

Let us not forget the matching pen. Which by the way looks fantastic with the green plaid paper if I must say so myself.

Lots to Love for Valentine's + Free Digital Paper Pack

It is time to start working on Valentine projects. Even though my kids are grown I still make them gift bags for Valentine's Day every year. This year, one of my gifts to them will be some gift cards. Today I used the new Lots to Love Box Framelits from Stampin' Up to make gift card holders. This is such an easy box to put together. It fits gift cards nicely but you can also fill it with candy, or Stampin' Up even makes a Narrow Note Card and Envelope set that fit perfectly in this box as well.

On this one I used the Painted with Love Designer Paper that was just released in the brand new Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is from the January 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit, and I used a couple of the dies from the Lots to Love Box Framelits as well. I cut the heart from the center of the box front, stamped my sentiment onto a piece of digital paper I designed, and attached that on the inside of the box to show through the window. I used the leaf die from the set for embellishment. This paper pack is double sided, and one side of every sheet has that beautiful gold foiling on it.

For this box I printed and used my own digital paper pack (free to download here) in coordinating colors, cut out the large heart from the framelit set onto Gold Foil, then added a sticker from the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Sticker pack that also coordinates with this set in the catalog. Don't forget the bow, I felt that this whole set of papers would go well with Night of Navy as an added color option. I used the Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon for this one.

This last example also was made from the digital paper pack I designed. To carry on the gold theme I used another sticker from the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Sticker pack. The sentiment is also from the new January 2018 Paper Pumpkin set. If you aren't a subscriber to get these exclusive stamp sets monthly you can check it out here to find out how to get in on the action!
I designed my own digital paper pack in coordinating colors. There are 5 high resolution designs in this set, free for you to download and use. Most at home printers are not large format so I designed this set in 8 1/2 x 11. If your printer can't print to edge you will have a slim border around the image, there will be very little waste. These files are 300DPI jpeg's. Credit back and linking to my site is much appreciated if you enjoy my free downloads!
