Stamp, Ink, Paper #116 + CAS Card Inspiration

Today's card share is courtesy #SIP116. This is a clean and simple (CAS) card with a fall theme. I am drawn to clean cards with a lot of white space. Honestly, I am incapable of viewing my designs in multiple layers. I envy those of you who do.
Metallics are really hot right now in design and I can't get enough of it. For this card I used the most fabulous Year of Cheer washi tape with a cajun craze card base. I cut out my sentiment from my go to die set, Stitched Shapes Framelits, and used the Count My Blessings stamp set which I embossed in copper. For the leaves I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I got multi-tone colors on my leaves by layering color onto the stamp with my finger daubers.
I had originally planned a different card front but decided against it. I embossed the smaller leaf from Colorful Seasons, in copper. It was too busy for my design but I didn't want it to go to waste. No mistakes in crafting right? Ultimately I trimmed it down and used it on the inside of my card. I think it was a good choice, and I didn't waste any product.
I hope you were inspired today. Happy crafting!
-Sherry

  1. Hi Sherry, leaves were popular for this theme and I love how you carried yours through to the inside of the card as well as front. Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper. Carolyn xx
