To get this look I die cut the image and created a backer. The back piece I colored with alcohol markers to get that color to come through. Let me know in the comments if you would like me to put up a quick tutorial on this part. The top circle had the cut outs, the bottom circle I quickly colored with alcohol markers, and then I glue the two together. Once I got that far I hauled out my bottle of glossy accents and started filling in each cut out. One thing I can say for sure, these colors were not that vibrant before I added the glossy accents.
I'm thrilled with the results I got. I chose to add some layering to my sentiment to give it some dimension, I stacked up 3 of them here. I have been dying to use that delicious designer paper and this worked out perfectly. I love it when a design comes together quickly. Here is my finished card:
In the next day or two I will be sharing a free 2018 calendar printable, that I designed, for you to use in your projects. I will also have 4x4 coasters available for sale for those of you who really don't want to buy a pack of 100 to make one calendar :). Be sure to check back in soon for more details.
Have a fabulous day, and happy crafting!
